Larry Brogan, Chief Financial Officer

Larry joined the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) as Chief Financial Officer in February 2020. 

Prior to joining TIBI, Larry held senior financial positions in a variety of organizations. His career spans more than 25 years. Most recently, he served as CFO of the business-to-business division of J2 Global (NASDAQ: JCOM).  

Earlier in his career, Larry spent eight years as a finance executive at Warner Bros. Entertainment and served as head of corporate planning at Yahoo!. More recently, Larry held executive roles at Dun & Bradstreet (NYSE: DNB) and Autoweb (NASDAQ: AUTO), as well as a large hedge fund. He has also served as an advisor / interim CFO to early stage technology start-ups. He began his career as a staff consultant at KPMG. 

While most of his career has been spent in the private sector, Larry has also worked in the non-profit arena. He served as the global head of financial planning at World Vision International (WVI). Considered the world’s most effective NGO, each year WVI distributes approximately $3 billion in aid to over 80 countries. 

Larry has an extensive background in enabling organizations to scale rapidly through effective planning. This includes expertise in organizational design, process improvement, establishment of financial controls and systems implementation. In addition, he has significant experience in structuring, negotiating and executing complex transactions.

Mr. Brogan earned a bachelors degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Columbia University.

Outside of work, Larry enjoys running, hiking and scuba diving.
